#18 日本乙姫心（ニッポンオトヒメゴコロ）黒柿

通常は白に近い柿の心材が黒に変色したもので、非常に珍しいもの。日本では昔から木工細工の装飾に活用されてきた。運良く丁度よいサイズの端材を入手できた。

Japanese Persimon is close to white usually, but sometimes the core turn to black rarely.

Only the wood species which has black color in old Japan, has valued and used for wood works since Edo period. Fortunately able to get the right size for material.
